This page contains provisional tasting notes for the 2025 Biggleswade Beer & Cider Festival. Not all of the products have been confirm yet, and we haven’t added the craft beers, so there may be a small number of last minute changes. For more information about the festival see our main event page.

Rocket Ale	Bloodhound	Bitter	4.2%	This copper coloured beer has a balance of malt flavours from Maris Otter malt and hop bitterness with slight orange marmalade notes from the English Admiral hops used.
Rocket Ale	Meteor	Pale Ale	3.9%	using American Idaho 7 hops. The hop tasting notes claim tropical and stone fruit flavours – all I know is that it does taste of fruit.
Pot Belly	Pigs Do Fly	Amber Ale	4.4%	A Single Hopped beer, easy drinking Light Golden with a depth of flavour that other light beers lack.
Pot Belly	S. O. A. B.	Deep Chestnut	5.0%	Specially Optimised Anniversary Brew. To mark our 10th anniversary this is a chestnut bitter with a smooth malty taste that gives way to a lighter hopped finish.
Papworth	Mild Thing	Mild	3.3%	Light roasted malt flavours and a subtle hop finish.
Papworth	Red Kite	Ruby IPA	4.5%	Well balanced with four different malts and a long, strong hop finish, bursting with tropical fruit flavours from the gratuitous overuse of hops.
Papworth	Pass the Porter	Porter	5.5%	Smooth, rich and distinctive with dark malt and chocolate flavours. Initial sweetness is balanced with bitterness from a long, hoppy finish.
Wheatsheaf	Supernova	Golden Ale	4.6%	Brimming with summery floral and fruity flavours from Jester, Bramling Cross and Eldorado hops.
Wheatsheaf	Unlocked	Classic IPA	4.5%	a strong malty golden ale with a blend of subtle bready and marmalade flavours with earthy and spicy hoppy notes.
Xtreme	BeXt	Bitter	3.7%	A session bitter, bittered with Chinook and nosed with Cascade.
Xtreme	Red FoX	Red	4.5%	A foxy hipster easy drinking red ale, with a malty front pallet and a hoppy finish.
Xtreme	Xquisite	Fruit Porter	6.0%	A robust porter with a prominent peach nose, sweet peach opening followed by a chocolate back palate.
Phipps	Phipps IPA	IPA	4.3%	With its balanced hoppy flavour and rich heritage, it’s a must-have for any pub or venue!
Phipps	Black Star	Black Ale	4.8%	piney resinous dry hops round out the flavour of the dark malts creating a robust yet smooth dark ale.
3 Brewers	Golden Ale	Golden Ale	3.8%	rewed using Cascade hops which give a subtle citrus flavour, coupled with Cara malt to give a light golden colour and a hint of sweetness.
3 Brewers	IPA	IPA	4.6%	brewed with five hops from the UK and USA and fermented longer to give a clean and dry finish.
Lord Conrads	Spiffing Wheeze	White Beer	3.9%	lemongrass white beer.
Lord Conrads	Cambridge	Amber Ale	5.0%	Amber with a multinational hop medley.
New River	London Tap	Pale Ale	3.8%	hints of toffee, light citrus, hoppy; refreshing finish.
New River	Five Inch Drop	IPA	4.6%	triple hopped IPA: toffee, malty aroma; pine resin and fruit citrus flavour.
Buntingford	Hurricane	Copper Bitter	4.0%	A traditional bitter, caramel hint with hedgerow fruit.
Buntingford	TBC	Golden Ale
Potton	Shannon	English IPA	3.5%	A session strength traditional English IPA. Light malt flavour with delicate herby and earthy notes.
Potton	Village Recycler	Bitter	4.3%	A big malty beer, offset by Cascade & East Kent Golding hops for a balanced flavour with honey, earthy and slight citrus notes.
Nene Valley	Release The Chimps	Hazy IPA	4.4%	Big hop additions give a crisp, dry mouth feel and a clean punchy bitterness.
Nene Valley	Egyptian Cream	Milk Stout	4.5%	Velvety mouthfeel and full bodied richness created by a large variety of dark malts, flaked oats and lactose. A fruity hop bite brings balance to this creamy milk stout.
Milton	Minotaur	Dark Mild	3.3%	A rich dark Mild with bags of character from the lavish use of chocolate malt.
Milton	Marcus Aurelius	Imperial Stout	7.5%	an enormous, luscious and velvety stout. Bursting with dark, roasty flavour with an underlying vanilla richness.
Weldon	Stahlstadt	Blonde Ale	4.0%	A Blonde Ale, light and refreshing with delicate hints of lemon and fragrant garden herbs from noble hops.
Weldon	Paradisium	Pale Ale	4.4%	A light refreshing Pale Ale made with Chinook hops from America mainly added late in the boil and subsequently for dry hopping to impart delicate flavours of grapefruit to this ever popular favourite.
Brewpoint	Anchor Man	IPA	4.1%	begins with a gentle malt sweetness, leading to a lingering, bitter finish.
Brewpoint	Homeward Bound	Extra Special	4.6%	No profile at moment – seasonal.

Cromwell	Oliver’s Session	Medium Dry Cider	4.5%	Another medium dry cider based on Choice but with reduced alcohol level to 4.5%
Cromwell	Cavalier Perry	Perry	6.5%	Made from Conference and Comice pears that are allowed to fully ripen on the tree to produce a light and bright medium perry
Potton Press	Trip Hazard	Medium Cider	8.2%	Made using apples that are naturally high in sugars, resulting in a rich, strong, fruity and characterful cider. A lovely, unique cider.
Potton Press	Heritage	Medium Sweet Cider	7.0%	Softly tannic, full bodied and balanced with a delicious orchard aroma.
Blue Barrel Cider	Smokin’ Barrels	Medium Dry Cider	6.5%	Our single malt whiskey casks really influence this charismatic blend giving it a distinct lingering caramel, vanilla oak flavour.
Blue Barrel Cider	Trees Are Good	Dry Cider	6.5%	A late season orchard blend with 100% Oakington orchard apples to create a dry, fruity cider with a soft tannic finish
